Government Liasion: The Lethbridge Construction Association (LCA) is dedicated to providing effective representation and quality services to its member firms who are General Contractors, Trade Contractors, Manufacturers and Suppliers of goods and services to the Industry. LCA provides a strong collective voice to Government and specifically monitors Municipal Government activities on a continuing basis maintaining the lines of communication with key municipal departments.
Alberta Construction Association: Membership with LCA provides your firm with an automatic membership with the Alberta Construction Association (ACA).
The ACA was created to facilitate joint action at the provincial level on behalf of it's members. The ACA also serves the industry in responding to national issues through membership in the Canadian Construction Association. The ACA leads Alberta's construction industry through government advocacy, industry practices, and promotion of skilled workforce.
Canadian Construction Association: Membership with LCA also provides your firm with an automatic membership with the Canadian Construction Association (CCA). CCA acts as your liaison with the Federal Government of Canada.
Membership with LCA offers your firm access to our Plansroom. Every year hundreds of sets of plans and specifications arrive and are available for viewing. These plans represent large and small commercial, institutional and industrial projects open to tender throughout the greater Lethbridge area, and the Province of Alberta.
COOLNET (Construction Opportunities On-Line Network): The Electronic Plan Room (EPR) has been developed by the construction industry in Alberta through the co-operative efforts of the local construction associations. As a member of LCA you can access information on any project that is on-line. You can view plans, specifications, addendums, bidders lists, pre-bid notices of projects and bid results. There is so much information right at your finger tips. You can save time and money by viewing projects on-line. As a member of LCA you will receive a Coolnet password and user id.
- Blueprints and Specs for projects in Lethbridge and surrounding area.
- Bidder list for projects with contact information.
COOLNet AB (Construction Opportunities Online Network – Alberta)
- Access codes and passwords for COOLNet AB with full membership.
- Online plans and specs available 24/7.
- Access to all Alberta tendering plans: Fort McMurray, Grande Prairie, Edmonton, Red Deer, Calgary, Lethbridge, Medicine Hat and Lloydminster.
- An average of 125 tendering projects online daily throughout Alberta.
Weekly Newsletter and Plansroom Information
- Receive information on local, provincial and national construction issues, class and workshop information, membership information, and a list of tendering projects in Lloydminster and area
NETWORK WITH OTHER LEADERS/ESTABLISH VALUABLE BUSINESS CONTACTS: LCA organizes several social events annually. These events provide your firm with an opportunity to meet and socialize with fellow members – contractors, suppliers, owners, architects and engineers. The following is an outline of our calendar of events:

CONTRACT DOCUMENTS:These Documents are for sale to both member and non – member firms; however, member firms can purchase their documents at preferential prices.
COMMISSIONIER OF OATH: LCA has two staff members who are authorized by the Province of Alberta as Commissioner for Oaths. As many of your documents feature this requirement, member firms may obtain this service through our office free of charge.
BLUEPRINT COPIER: A blueprint copier is available for use at a reduced cost for members.
MEETING ROOM: LCA has one (1) Board Room seating twelve (12). This room is available for use by member firms on a reservation basis, and it’s offered to members at a reduced cost.
CLASS ROOM: We have one (1) class room available for rent and will seat up to twenty-five (25) classroom style or up to fifty (50) presentation formation. This room includes a separate entrance and washroom, audio/visual with state of the art electronics, and coffee and water included. Vending machine on site.
CSTS (Construction Safety Training System): The LCA offers this course to any member or non-member. There can be nothing more important to a company than to ensure its workers go home safely to their families at the end of each work day. CSTS can help make this happen.
ASCA courses: COR and SECOR – We are a partner of the ACSA in holding many safety classes right here in Lethbridge. (NCSO & HSA)
Seminars / Lunch & Learns:The LCA has and will be offering more informational sessions which will cover a variety of different topics
Annual publication:The publication is designed as a handy desk copy for all your reference needs and is published every spring.
